Your data and privacy

What WattAscent stores, how to export it and how to delete your account.

WattAscent stores your profile (name, weight, FTP, levels and settings), your rides, your events and plan, and, if you connect Strava, summaries of your Strava activities (power and heart rate statistics, not the full recordings). It's protected so only you can read it.

Exporting your data

  • Each ride: rides that went to Strava are there in full. Otherwise, click the ride's Strava button in Progress and choose Download ride file (.tcx), the standard format Garmin Connect and TrainingPeaks accept too.
  • Everything: in Progress, click Copy data to copy your profile and ride history.

Deleting your account

Contact us from the email address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. We'll cancel any plan and delete your profile, rides and Strava data. Disconnecting Strava on its own (Edit profile) deletes the Strava data WattAscent saved.
